wireless mighty mouse

I have just purchased a Mac mini and as this is being used down stairs thought I would purchase a Wireless keyboard and Mouse.

The Apple Keyboard I have no problems with I can turn it off and turn it back on and all is back up and working. But the Apple Mighty mouse is a different story.If I go in and pair the mouse to the machine all works well but if I turn the mouse off(to save the batteries) and come back later and turn it back on the mouse does not reconnected automatically like the keyboard does and is not in the bluetooth mouse list.I have to re-pair them. This seems daft as it means I have to reconnected a usb mouse every time to setup the wireless mouse.

Any one have any tips.


The Mac mini is left on 24*7 as it is running folding at home.

Am not at my machine at the moment but it may be because I had turned the bluetooth to undiscoverable. As the mouse does not use a passkey it could not reconnect.Turning the bluetooth undiscoverable to off, the mouse may automatically reconnect.Will try this when I get in.
