Wireless n

I just purchased the wireless n updater package and thought that it would be working with my macbook pro intel 2 core duo notebook like it said on the website.

After I downloaded it and tried to install it, everything worked fine until I tried selecting the drive to install it to at which it had the following error:

"You cannot install AirPort Extreme 802.11n Enabler on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update"

After that, I tried it on my family members computer which didn't have wireless n capabilities and it had an error immediatly saying that the compter didn't meet the specifications which tells me that my laptop does have the capabilities of wireless n but its having an issue with my hard drive.

Any ideas?

Have you installed This Update

Try that and then try installing the enabler.

Make sure that your Mac does not already have the 802.11n enabler already installed.

Open Network Utility (found in the Applications > Utilities folder)
Under the Info Tab, choose Network Interface (en1)
In the section "Model: Wireless Network Adapter," if it says (802.11a/b/g/n), you already have the 802.11n enabler installed. If it says (802.11a/b/g), you do not have the 802.11n enabler installed. .....
