wireless network won't acess google or select sites

I recently networked my home with a netgear WNR834B router, the pc works fine, can browse what ever. My ibook G4 with 10.4.7 os will not load the google homepage. The funny thing is it will load other pages fine, and messenger with no problem while on the same wireless network. No matter what browser i use, firefox or safari still no load for google. If i use the network at work or dial up at home there is no problem with any page, other than dial up is slow as usual. I bought the wireless router so i would really like to use the wireless for the mac, which is why i bought the netgear, it supports all OSs. Any idea what the porblem may be? oh the errorr message i get is "the connection was reset"
the speed is fine to the pages that will load, so there is no speed issue, just a google and other page loading issue.

hab eine Frage und es wäre.Gibts es eine Lösung für dieses Problem warum der ROUTER WNR834B die Webseite www.google.de nicht öffnen kann.
Obwohl ich schon die neueste Firmware habe,hat mir NEtgear (SUPPORT) gestern mir gesagt dass sie nicht wissen und dass es vielleicht mein Gerät defekt ist.

I have exactly the same problem... did you ever fix the problem?

yes, the problem was the firmware, you need to update it. Be sure to use a wired connection when you update the router though.
