wireless networking problems..any help appreciated

ok. so we have a d-link 614+ wireless router set up with verizon cable internet and we have a pc connected and a pc laptop connected, but i cant seem to get my g4 powerbook to connect. i have an airport card and select the network but alas no connection....i'm new to wireless routers so is there anything i should be doing?

You probably need to enter an IP address somewhere.

I'm not very knowledgeable about wireless networking, but many networking issues arise from IP address confusion.

Do you have your PB configured to get it's address via DHCP in the network config? If you can connect to your ssid but can't do anything, that would be the first thing to check.
 
It's an airport! :rolleyes:

It's the only thing I found on the computer when searching for "airport." It's an Office clipart file.
 
i know my airport works cause planes fly in and out everday..im a dork i couldnt help it.

no but seirously it does work. i used it last week at my school to connect..im moving soon anyways im not going to worry bout it but i might be back when i move into my new house if i cant get it working thanks for all hte help
