Wireless USB connection

Hello All. I have a Inexq wireless usb stick. I has the Zydas chipset and I know it is compatable with both Mac and Linux. I have a iMac with OSX 10.3. I installed the wireless card drivers and have the usb stick in a slot. The usb stick lights up. When I go to system preferences (to setup SSID and everything else) I can see all the way at the bottom a section the says "other". In this section it has a Zydas button. When I press this button it brings me to a screen that says "Network Adaptor" and their is a drop down menu. Although I see all of this, nothing is in the dropdpwn menu at all (Im assuming it should be my wireless usb stick) but I cannot choose anything. Am I missing something? I have a usb slot on the keyboard and the iMac itself. I have tried both slots, but I cannot bring anything up to input the SSID. I belive that once I tell the iMac to use the usb for network connection, and tell it what the SSID is, I should have connectivity, but I am lost as to where to do this......any help would be appreciated, thanks!
