working at home

so i've always been curious about those work-at -home deals where you stuff envelopes or whatever.

so i'm wondering, has anyone ever done any of these things?

are any of them legit?

i know that if they sound too good to be true they probably are, but i just gotta know. curiosity killed the cat, or small dog in my case.

Many of them are actually an attempt to sell you software that will - so the makers claim - help you make money on gambling or the stock market. Some of them are pyramid sales deals, too. But I'm sure there are a few there who geniunely want you to do secretarial tasks for a wage.

But think about it: why would a business-person pay you an hourly wage to work from home and email or fax documents to you, when they could pay the same hourly wage to have you come right into their office and do it there?

Statistically, there have to be some legit ones out there, but they're not the ones that will pay you "$1000/day using your computer to work from home". From a business management perspective, it just doesn't make much sense to do this.

Get a real job.
And a hair cut. :D
