Hi,

I just installed Windows xp using bootcamp.

I partitioned off 30gb for it. Then it asked me to put in the windows setup disk and restart. I did this and went through all the things it asked me to do to install. The drivers did their thing and then a bar came up as it was installing with its status. It got to 100% then restarted I assume to finish the rest of the setup in windows mode instead of the dos thing. However, everytime it tries to start it goes straight to a dos screen saying 'disk error' press any key to restart then it freezes. Any help?

Thanks for your time,
Tu

Are you using a disc that has Windows XP Service Pack 2? If not, then that's probably the issue. Windows XP SP2 is required for Boot Camp. However, if you have a pre-SP2 disc you can create a slipstreamed Windows XP SP2 disc using your original disc. Here are the instructions on how to do that:
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp

Once you have the slipstreamed disc, go through the whole Boot Camp process again to install Windows XP.

Hope this helps.
