You know your're a geek because...

It's only because I've given up on the Raiders winning... and said... too much to do to sit around here and cry.

I am not a Raiders fan, but I am a Gannon fan... best QB... he was our backup for Kansas City for a few years and played quite a few number of games, why we didn't keep him is beyond me.

WRONG! I can do both! :) Tampa Bay is WINNING right now 34 to 3. WOOHOO!!! They are steam rolling Oakland.

Anyone watch the SNL halftime special?

I have no attachment to TB, but I hate the Raiders so this is Great news to me. ^_^

I'm still not watching tho, You know you're a geek when you aren't watching football because you have too much work to do, yet you're posting to a web forum instead.

I think I've miscalculated...

In my attempt to start an anti-Super Bowl thread I seem to have started a Super Bowl thread.

;)

Uh what? i did see the superbowl... does that mean that now i'm not a geek? :(
But it was about the first time in my life i saw it, so far i've seen only soccer.. :-/
If i wasn't a geek i didnt enjoy so much my new ipod than i do ... woh, 20 G of fun ... :D

I was actually watching teh GI Joe movie last nite ;) lol -- I heard the superbowl and most of the commercials were a disappointment.

The Willie Nelson/H&R Block commercial was pretty good...Shows Willie sitting down with a lawyer or tax accountant and the guy telling Nelson that an error was made in his taxes and he now owes the IRS $30 million. Next you see him doing an advertisement for a shaving cream company to pay off the IRS complaining, "hey, my face is burning, somebody get this off my face".

I didn't realize that it was the superbowl until I read in the Globe and Mail an article about what wines go with different sorts of junkfood (popcorn, pizza, chips...), and it was introduced with a reference to sitting on the couch to watch the superbowl and pig out.

It was in the Saturday edition, but I didn't read it until Sunday. And I don't own a TV. So yes, I'm a nerd. But then I'm a Canadian nerd, so what do I care about American football? There's hockey to keep track of!
