Zero'in a HD

I would like to Zero and possibly check for bad sectors on a Hard Drive, I run OSX and have had good luck with Drive 10 and DW. But the problem is I also have PeeCee's and would like a utility that I could boot from preferably from CD and erase (Low Level )the HD check for bad sectors --etc.... Anyone happen to know such a utility? I run multiple machines so the HD’s vary for vendor to vendor

The Apple OS CD can do this using Disk Utility on it.
