is there any way upon startup can we set it to search for other drives on other machines???
i would like it to automatically map to my laptop drives...
so i dont have to manually tell it to find a server each time??

I have written sucessfully to Apple DVD-R and non brand DVD-R. I would like to know what brand has been successful for DVD -RW (understand RW) using TOAST.

I know it does support it.. i checked and it does say dvd-rw.. but it spits out the mdedia with an error and nothing is burnt..
i can burn fine with dvd-r cdr cdrw... but this particular dvdrw brand it does not..
what brand od DVD -RW are you using that is working??
