I'm trying to mount /Volumes to my home so I can access all files through ftp. I'm in a local network, no risk of hacking at all.
I use that a lot in linux with mount --bind /anydirectory /home
But under macosx I get :Block device required
Is there anything like Wine in progress that may let us run winapps over MacOSX? Other than running the Windoze slug monster on a mac it would be nicer to run apps over MacOS like in linux with wine.
That's a handy thing when you have your mac with you. But in this case, my mac is not with me. I'm checking my contacts through the .mac web page.
There is where I want to export them from.
Is there a way to do this?
What are you trying to do? You already have the best tools right there.
I you want to snif use tcpdump.
There is traceroute, ping , nmap, etc.
I dunno if there is a mac version of iptraf, that is a must!
I'm not using my powerbook right now, And I need to export all my isynced contacts out of my .mac account. I can use www.mac.com and do the thing there, but I want to export them to transfer them to a windows program that I'm using this days. Is there a way to export the contacts from the .mac...
Well, the point wasn't you to try the test, but if you have programed one. I would like to run apache whith a flash like this one in my routers (MacOS X in old G3 boxes as routers) so I can test speeds with regular customers browsers.
I think that giganews flash test is one of the nicest.
So...
Has anyone done a flash based speed test?
I would like to run an httpd in all my routers with this flash to test speeds from regular users browsers.
Here is the link for giganews.
