Is there a program (either built in or third party) that lets you record what you're doing? On Pc's you can you programs such as Hypercam, but I don't know of any for the Mac. Help please?
Well when I record, and edit a movie with iMovie, is saves as a .mov. I need to know how to compress it for youtube, and was hoping someone could tell me how to do that.
I greatly appreciate any help on the matter. Thanks.
I think the compression type is the problem. I followed the instructions on the iMovie help thing so I could have it semi-high res, but keep the quality low. I think that may have been the problem.
I tried uploading it, but it said "Failed (invalid file format)".
I'll try searching for one of those. Thanks.
EDIT:
I found something to turn .mov into .mpg. So maybe it will work now.
Sorry about that. I was in a horrible mood when I posted the google thing in the first place. Any other time I wouln't have said anything like that.
Anyway, that program is just what I was looking for. Made a killer vid today, and it doesn't look too bad for my first video. (although...
I wasn't trying to be mean. I was simply stating you could find out what it was next time by googling it.
Anyway, I need it to record videos of things on my web browser. Mainly games.
If there are other programs that can record videos like hypercam can, I would be happy to use them...
I cant seem to find it anywhere, so can someone give me a link? I dont want to have to pay for it either.
Over-simplified version:
Need link for free mac hypercam
If I type in "defaults write NSGlobalDomain AppleScreenShotFormat (format)", I get the message
If I type in "defaults write NSGlobalDomain AppleScreenShotFormat", I get the message
Tried that. It says "You cannot save this document with extension ".bmp" at the end of the name. The required extension is ".pdf". You can choose to use both so that your file name ends in ".bmp.pdf"."
The problem is I dont want to mess up a computer I dont even own. I'll look for some...
