Thanks so much! It wasn't even on, but once I turned it on, and then off again, all the files disappeared. :D

Just recently, everywhere in the finder these files show up repeatedly. The most common of them is .DS store But there is also: .localized .trashes (and more) I do not know why these show up, and they have not been around for long. But whenever I try to delete one, a new one replaces it 10...
