New files pop up everywhere

Just recently, everywhere in the finder these files show up repeatedly. The most common of them is .DS store

But there is also:
.localized
.trashes
(and more)

I do not know why these show up, and they have not been around for long. But whenever I try to delete one, a new one replaces it 10 seconds later. I do not know anything really about what is going on... Can anyone help me fix this problem?

P.S I am attaching a screen shot as that might help show what is going on.

Run that, and turn OFF the setting: "Show hidden and system files"
Click the Relaunch Finder button, and (presto!) those files will vanish from view.

Thanks so much! It wasn't even on, but once I turned it on, and then off again, all the files disappeared.

Glad you got that figured out. Some folks don't understand how those settings need to be 'toggled' to be reset.
