Apple TV on the road of success ?

We have an ATV and love it, but we are less than pleased with the service from ITMS. We subscribed to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, but canceled yesterday. The reason was that in the last month, the shows have been delayed by a full day at least three times. So like most others here...

Disk reported full when copying to symlink to disk with plenty of space?

Hi, One of my users reports that he gets a "disk full" error when he attempts to copy files to a symlink that points to a mount with plenty of space. Is this a known problem? Sincerely, Anders

AirPort Extreme .n base + WDS bridging to Extreme .g base = slow?

Hi, The problem below was solved by creating two wireless networks, conneted at the "root" with Ethernet and the master bases for both networks set to "bridging" mode. ----- Hi all, I got the new .n base station, and was somewhat disgruntled with the speed of the AirPort disk and other...

Automator: Burning a specific ISO image when inserting blank CD

Hi, I have to burn a LOT of copies of a specific ISO image. Using Disk Tool, I have to manually pick the drive (I use the internal drive in myMBP + two external burners on FW connections), which slows down the process and is error prone. I just noticed there is a way to set a specific...

Well, I will retroactively go ME TOO!!! and add that you will have a VERY good time with your MBP. It has both Teh Shiny and Teh Snappy in spades!

    MacBook Pro

Gotta chime in here: The MBP is the best computer I ever had, easily edging out the dual G5 it replaced. If I were using more non-universal apps I would not be quite as happy, but probably still satisfied. It is fast. VERY fast!

Windows Virtualization (WinXP under Mac OS X) Beta Released

Well, I am worried about stability. My goals for using it would be to consolidate my development environment on my MBP and get rid of having to lug my Dell around to build my software, but if my system gets unstable or unsupported (like with Boot Camp), I'm not gonna bother... Has anybody tried...

    Macbook pros and cons

Got one. Don't use pro apps, only Office under Rosetta. It's all good... except for the price ;) Remember to stock up on RAM, because you'll need it. It's a VERY sweet ride :D

Nice! But what happened to 12" and 17" MacBook Pros?

Well I guess that either people who buy the Mini don't care much about performance (value crowd), or that they have some other reason to keep it on the G4 for now. <gaahhhHHHHH LUST FOR MBP MUST CONTAIN THE URGE TO BUYBUYBUY!!!!> Ahem. Sorry. Don't know what came over me. Love my DP G5...

Nice! But what happened to 12" and 17" MacBook Pros?

Apple has recently shown a pattern of replacing or upgrading the best selling products first. It makes sense, especially if you offer a substantially better product (Nano), or if the buyers are holding back in anticipation of a better product/architecture shift (Mac). Engineering may have been...

Powerbook 12" can't find internal airport

OK, have now tried repair permission after installing the latest Airport patch, and still no joy. Back to finding the HW diagnostics---anyone who can point me to the right place to look? As mentioned, it seems they are not on the Tiger install DVD, but that was purchased seperately...

Powerbook 12" can't find internal airport

Hi, My GF's 12" Powerbook suddenly refuses to find its Airport. I recently (1-2 weeks ago) upgraded it to Tiger, and applied all patches and firmware updates, and it has been rebooted several times since that without a hitch. I have tried to follow the instructions from the manual for...
