oops! it doesn't happen whit list all active rules but:
actually this is what happens after i hit flush in xupport
"firewall protocol"
65535 allow ip from any to any
if i flush from Xupport. it works as well.
now it says my apple firewall is "off" as well.
hmmm.....
Hi again,
updated to 10.3.9
long again, but i think sometimes more is better than less.
i just got rid of everything in the StartupItems.
wasn't really sure what some of them were, but none seemed firewally.
-task scheduler from Office 2004(ms) and some other ms Office not necessary things...
yahooty!
it worked! my softare is updated.
thank you!
BUT i have found that if i want to connect to apple again after once logging off or shuting down i have to "flush" again.
how do i keep the firewall from starting up at "start up" or should i even do that?
again,
thanks!
i'm totally stumped.
This is a bit long but I will try to include as much as I can from the get go.
i recently had to install a new (40gb samsung hard drive on my iBook g4 1.07GHz running OS X 10.3.3
the install went relatively smoothly and i figured out how to set up my internet...
