I scanned from a book, a list, to File. It shows as TIFF file. I want to add remarks to the items on the list. Bringing up Preview, it does not give me the ability to add remarks.
Comment: I tried making changes (sizing, zooming)...
No positive input here made me decide to end my quest for help on the aftermarket cartridges. I invested in the very expensive $46 cost of 3 Epson cartridges today. No wonder they give the printers away as incentives when buying a computer. Around $75 all told for refill ink. <smile> 2...
Delta: Thanks for the hint. I checked it out and it says not for wide format cartridges, whatever that means, and says it's mainly for those that 'refill' their cartridges... I'm too unfamiliar with these unknowns to take a chance. I suppose I shouldn't have bought these aftermarket...

Ran out of black ink. Replaced w/Epson black cartridge. Printed a few

Thanks to the direction you've given me, I understand now where the problem is. If the recipient has an Apple computer, no problem. All Apples can open Apple files. A non-Apple owner can't open my files due to the Appleworks file system which is dissimilar to their's.
So, I must try to help...
The attachments are generally any type of file. The most recernt was a two page Appleworks file. I've also tried to send a map outline that I had scanned & filed, then sent as an attachment, but it couldn't be opened; One person tried three different computers to try to view the map I'd sent...
I followed the directions and zipped the file easily, and sent it off to a friend with a fairly new laptop. This is what she received:

I Control Click the e-mail. And no Archive indications are shown. It's obvious that is the wrong place to double click. I'm just guessing since I don't know where

I send can't be read either. I have no problem receiving and reading both attachments and forwarded items, but noone can read the things I send to them, other than plain e-mail.

The Problem was that The TITLE BAR containing the SEND icon had disappeared from the top of the FWD or NEW mail letter.
