WOW! Thanks! :D I new it had to be something really simple! Once I got back into osX I opened the startdisk preference and locked the option. Is there a possible reason that it keep changing?

Well it happened again. I was having a bunch of problems not being able to find a file. So I tried logging into a terminal window. But all I got was the Welcome to darwin message followed by a message saying [Process complete] but it wouldnt let me do anything Sooooo I figured to reboot...
