    If you were 'listening' to port 80 on the Linux box you'd see your computer talking to to sites on the internet via HTTP. yes you could tell which sites you were looking at, because that information is contained in the HTTP GET headers that are sent out from your machine when it wants a page...

    If it's similar to how swat installs on a Linux system, it's made an entry in your inetd.conf file in /etc but it's commented out. You need to find the swat line (should be near the bottom) and remove the leading #, save the changes and restart your inetd daemon with killall -HUP inetd Hope...

    I don't see what the big deal is with Kilowatt posting his method of enabling the root user is ? Just because it's the same as sudo -s doesn't mean that the post was useless. There's More Than One Way To Do It, and perhaps someone has a valid reason to use his, even if enabling the root user...
