samba server and swat please help me

I'm trying to get swat working on my tibook, I have os 10.1.3 I've installed samba and swat and swat starts up ok and I've configured it according to the readmes but when I try to go to http://localhost:901 it doesnt work. Is there something I'm missing? I've checked ipfw and it seems ok and has the line 65535 allow ip from any to any so what the heck is going on. Has anyone got swat to work???
 
If it's similar to how swat installs on a Linux system, it's made an entry in your inetd.conf file in /etc but it's commented out. You need to find the swat line (should be near the bottom) and remove the leading #, save the changes and restart your inetd daemon with killall -HUP inetd
