Thanks. Does anyone have ideas on the CD drive problem?

My PowerBook (G4 1GHz running 10.3.9) screen goes black. It only seems to do it when I have a CD in the CD drive. I can sometimes close it, have it go to sleep, and then wake it up. Other times it seems I've had to restart it. It will keep going black (sometimes immediately, other times...
