itunes4 music store and mp3 cds

The reason to burn to an mp3 cd: you get about 800 minutes of music per cd rather than 80. That's pretty significant. a lot of people have portable cd/mp3 players that play mp3 cds. while you can play audio cds in them, it's dumb when you can have about 12 normal audio cds on one mp3 cd. I...

itunes4 music store and mp3 cds

So, as chevy pointed out in the iTumes help, it sounds as if you can't burn an mp3 cd using the acc files downloaded from the music store. If someone is still able to try it to confirm that would be nice. now let me complain. I completely understand why they don't want you to be able to...

itunes4 music store and mp3 cds

has anyone tried to burn an mp3 cd from an acc file downloaded from Apple's music store? I'm curious if you can really convert one of their files to an mp3. I wouldn't think they would let you...but what do i know if someone could try i out i'd be very happy :)

    Mac Winsock

The drivers I'm working on are actually intended for 8.6...however, i have the winsock libaries now, so it's all good :)

    Mac Winsock

Ok, here's a wack request. Once upon a time Netmanage released a SDK named MacWinsock which allowed programs using winsock calls to use OpenTransport on the Mac. The SDK was later owned by Altura, who is the current owner. Now, I have some code that takes advantage of this SDK, however, I...

os x profile for speed disk

I've heard people mention an osx profile being used in norton speed disk, but i sure don't see it and can't find any place to download anything of the sort. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or tell me which profile is best to use for optimizing an os x hfs+ drive?

    Contexual Menu

oh...also, there are some pretty good cmms for "classic" mac os. i'm fairly certain there are some that let you execute applescripts from the menu...or allow easy customization of the cmm by dropping files, folders, or aliases into specified folders. It might not be as tightly integrated as...

    Contexual Menu

ok, so these other posts are 7 months old now...but i'm looking into making some CMMs for os x and ran across this thread. To answer the question posed to strobe, here is something off apple's site...basically zpincus is dead on.

    Drives in the Dock... VROOOM!

hmm...well you could do this a lot of ways...if you want you could just make an alias of the drive and throw it in the dock. If you want to make it so that all your drives show up in the dock under a folder (like cds and stuff too) you'll want to make a symbolic link of the Volumes folder...

    apache logs

in the beta when you enabled the apache webserver it had log files ( i thought you could adjust settings on them too, but i can't quite remember ). I was looking for the logs today and didn't see them anywhere, i couldn't find any settings for them either. Anyone know where they are or how to...

OmniWeb - What am I missing?

shortcuts kick ass too. there are a lot of sites i frequent and i can't fit them all on the toolbar well, so i make shortcuts...like vt for versiontracker, and psp for http://www.rit.edu/~pspdawww/. it's very nice. They put in a lot of unique features

    Installing MySQL

i believe you are correct that the next os x server is os x final with a bunch of admin tools...but if you see software and it says it is for os x server, don't expect it to run on os x.

    Installing MySQL

i was under the impression that mySQL was available for os X server...not os X that may be your problem

classic apps not responding to some events

I had the beta, i installed the final. interaction between classic and os x were great, but i had problems loading omniweb and omnigroup's only advice was to do a clean install. it wasn't going to take me too long to do it, and i kinda wanted to clean out my os 9 to make it fast again. so i...
