Macavenger, I have had great success with using my MIDIMAN 2 x 2 (which does have native OS X drivers) and a sample synth called VSamp by Malcolm Haylock. Latency is virtually non-existant to my ears. I use my keyboard with VSamp to play samples via my iMac. Works amazingly well. Links...

Though I don't have 10.1 yet, every example I've seen for SMB is as follows: smb://workgroup;server/share Even on Apple's site there is a QuickTime movie demonstrating SMB and this is the format shown. I cannot confirm it works in my work environment until Monday though.

My local CompUSA is in. Neither Staples or Circuit City had any idea what 10.1 was or when/if they would get it anytime soon. I really enjoy this Windows-centric world we live in.

I called my local CompUSA in Michigan and they said they are offering the free upgrade to those who bring in a receipt or a box with original media. Good news for some. I hope everyone else fares as well. This entire update has been a complete farce thus far.
