my automatic software update said i should install 10.5.3 so I tried. After download and saying restart as requested the machine just got a little way in to configuring and stopped. I left it for about 90 minutes and still no progress so I re-booted. Tried again and gave up with the same issue...

i have installed some pieces of software from MACWORLD i will take them out and see if it makes a difference . . . i have re-booted, done a disk repair now, no one else is logged in or ftp'ing

Just renamed it batcave . . it was the Mac default name before that . . whatever that was
