I did that and no change. I notice that when I look at the drive in Disk Utility, it mentions the following: S.M.A.R.T. Status: Not Supported Partition Scheme: Unformatted It won't let me repair or verify the drive. What does SMART status mean? Is this suddenly not supported with the new OS...

I installed the combo updater, fixed permissions and it still is not recognized. What next?

It worked out of the box. Their website also still states that no driver is necessary. I did not have it plugged in when I did the update.

Powerbook 17" G4 I just upgraded to system 10.4.8 and now my Macpower Icecube USB 2.0 external drive is no longer recognized. It worked fine up until now. Disk Utility sees it, but the repair is grayed out. TechTool Pro 4.5.1 sees it as an uninitialized disk and it passes the Read/Write test. I...
