    Can't mount/use audio CDs!

Well that I have not tried. I mean I installed the OS, and during the initial install I set it up with the initial user accounts. Basically yeah the problem has occurred for everyone that I initially set up which is wierd in itself. I'll try that l8tr today to see if adding a new user and...

    Can't mount/use audio CDs!

Just to add my problems in the mix. I have a B/W G3 that came with DVD Drive; I took it out and also replaced it with a yamaha CD-RW 8824 model. In any case under 9.x everything always works just fine. Under OS X.0.4, and OS X.1.1 it gives me same problems: Audio CD's do not mount. I...

    Web/Mail/IMAP/POP/NetINFO...........

hmmmm, thanx 4 the reply. But basically if my ISP supports it, they should be able to input my domain in their DNS servers??? Of course they probably do not.... In which case I would be able to run my own DNS server [install and run BIND]. One question I have is why would I have to go...

    OS X.1 internet connect error

yes, the GV script does act buggy when trying to disconnect. Luckily when I disconnect is because I am done using the mac, so it's not much of a bother. Although I will try using that supra script and see if the whole connection eworks fine. I guess disconnecting could be a main issue sometimes.

    OS X.1 internet connect error

Well now that everything is working I guess I won't go back and test OS9's scripts on OSX. At one point I did think about it but fr some reason I just thought it wouldn't work because of the fact that the OSes are that different, but thanks for the ip at least we have two things to fall back on...

    OS X.1 internet connect error

:) Hello you guys. Well I kept playing around with the type of internal modem that Mac OSx chose to use for dialign out. I finally picked the Apple GV56k modem file and everything seems to working fine. There are four total modem scripts that begin with apple, and for some reason the...

    OS X.1 internet connect error

Well I have no answers here, but wanted to throw my hat into the ring. I am also getting the same exact problem. I have found that when i change the internal modem to power mac [the generic one they have] It dials out but hangs for about 3 minutes while, presumably, it tries to connect. Of...

    PPP Connect (LCP Failure)

Try calling them. But if you can get online, you must have the DNS names somewhere (of course they should be in TCP/IP C.Panel). In any case get online if you can and find the number to their customer service, they should be able to provide you with that info. Well it's been a while since I...

    PPP Connect (LCP Failure)

Okay everyone. This has been plagueing many of us for some time now. I think I just found a bandage (not a cure). If you can connect to internet from OS9 then do so using Remote Access. After you have successfully connected go to your TCP/IP control panel. If you look inside you...

    PPP Connect (LCP Failure)

Well it's a BEta, at least that is what I keep telling myself. I have so far tried everything from every forum I could find. Deleted Preferences, worked around with the modem files in /etc/ppp/modems (I have put in login and password scripts, also messed around with the modem string) and still...

    Restarting during active PPP session

Forgot to mention that my OS9 connection still works, it has not failed yet. There was one and only one time I connected with OSX and that was the night I got it. Everything worked well, except of course (I think it is because I quit before disconnecting) not being able to connect ever again.

    PPP Connect (LCP Failure)

As far as my situation goes with this error it happens no matter what I do in the PPP fields. Funny thing though, the first night I installed OSX, I did everything I could do. I also got online with no problems. (Although I.E. ran really slow compared to my Internet connection through OS9)...
