Macs with Airport slots have built in antenna. You just have to unhook the one that the pc card comes with and use the Macs.

Has anyone tried using a non Apple 802.11 card in the internal Airport slot under OSX? Something like the Lucent Wavelan Gold card... I ask only because my school's campus wireless LAN uses 128bit encryption, not the 40 Apple supports.
After spending some quality time on the commandline (boy is this a great OS) I've gottenn annoyed with the localhost in the prompt. How does one go about changing the hostname on the Unix level so the computer knows who it is? Setting it in the Sharing System panel (not suprisingly) had no effect.
Does anyone know a way to make the app menu an icon (like you could back in the day of the PB). It's quite annoying to have Project Builder's menus go under the clock on my iBook...
