Hey, I have AD user that I would like to convert to be a local user ... Is there easy way to do that ? Or I will just need to add new user ... and setup everything from scratch .. ?

I wonder if there is same folder All Users like in windows ..( U can put files All Users/Desktop and those files will show on all users desktop ) Is there a similar way to do it in OSX .?

Agree its OD not AD ... posting msgs. while having flu sux ! I don't have power to control OD infrastructure but It can be arranged if needed. But I have full privileges to control local computers. I don't think that I need acess to OD, I just need to make sure that newly installed system...

OSX 10.4.x G5 Motorola / Intels Domain Server Im sure is Xserver and i don't have clue about exact setup ... I was told .. there is somewhere a option that need to be turned on to make sure that OSX will inherit some default setup.

Hmm there has to be something because all users on domain have same icons in finder bar ... And they can't run some of the applications - i had to contact service desk and tell them that i need this unlocked .. Root is able to run them but is not able to grand privileges for Domain user ..

So, I was told there I a option/file in OS X that is responsible for synchronizing OS X with Domain settings. I have OS X machine that is working on Domain. And it should import printer setups, finder setup etc. I'm not sure how to do it ? Any ideas ? Thx in Advance !

So ... I have 3+ Osx Images can I put them on external hardrive with separate partitions... and boot with option key ? and pick system that i wan't to load ? Any easy way to manage it ? maybe something like LILO, GRUB ? i know it should work on G5 ... What about doing...
