ok i just called mac support. the guy was a jerk but said that "well its not gonna pla mpegs. mpegs are for pcs. its not made for macs. try dwonloading ......." i cant remember the name but i did and it still didnt do anything. they are just plain .mpg files. its even listed in the quicktime...

ok i downloaded perian but its not helping. quicktime just does not want to open these things. if i download the mpeg player from apple will this solve the problem? when i open up properties it just says MPEG it doesnt say 2 or 1. i used these all the time on my pc, it was basically the video...

will these actually allow them to play in quciktime though? i have perian. i need to import them into idvd but that means they must open in quicktime itself not VLC...
