Howdy! I need to buy an external HD for backups and I was about to buy the LaCie 500GB with USB/FWs. In newegg.com there are two reviews about these HDs crashing and I have found a few horror histories here too... are they that bad??? ? ?? ???

Well, one of the main features I use is video... I have a Logitech camera and everytime I close the cam, Yahoo crashes... :( I'll check out Audium, I hope it supports video... :) Thanks!

I am the only one here that is quite pissed off at Yahoo! that we have to live with a quite old and damn buggy version of Y! Messenger? NOBODY in my family uses iChat, MSN or any other messenger than Yahoo and quite honestly, I like it a lot... pretty cool features... but I am really upset...

One more thing before I rush and buy one... people using Yahoo Messenger on a PC will be able to see me, correct? All my family runs PCs (I am working on that... :D) and I want to make sure that works... Why would Apple not make the iSight more flexible to be used by more messenger programs...

So, I am tempted to buy an iSight camera... I have a Logitech that, from what my family tells me, looks very good from the other side... so I am wondering... since the iSight will work with Yahoo Messenger, will it actually produce better images than the Logitech? Has anybody here compared...

How about image quality from Logitech to iSight? Is it worth the extra $$? I have been tempted to buy an iSight but I wonder if viewers really can tell the difference...
