Is there a tutorial somewhere? I don't really understand UNIX or whatever language is used in Terminal. I just want to set Ethernet port 1 to one DHCP for WeTransfer and TeamViewer and port 2 set to office connections and printing.
I have a mid 2012 MacPro running Sierra with 32gb RAM.
I'd like to use both Ethernet ports on the back - one for file transfers and one for office networking and printing.
Is there a way to do this?
I have a Mac Pro 2008 with El Capitan and want to get DVD and BluRay burning software for home videos. I was considering Toast V15. First, will it work and second, is there something better than Toast?
Does the optical drive need to stay connected or can I remove it altogether? The old drive isn't showing. It spins up but doesn't mount.
HOLD ON - my expectations were too quick - THERE THEY ARE, both drives.
Thanks!!
True True True - how could I call my MacPro's G5's. It's been raining so much this spring, my brain is going mushy!
Sweet on the 2008. It's sitting right here - I'll have a look.
Once again, DeltaMac comes through!
Hey all -
I have a 2003 G4 MDD that I am planning to sell, probably as a parts machine. We had a power issue as a result of an electrical problem with my laser printer that I'm guessing fried the power supply on the MDD. I now have G5's (2008 and 2012). How can I or how do I go about retrieving...
Update :
You know what I like most about this forum, besides the help and knowledge I've received over the years, is the MAGICAL aspect. Almost Unicorn Magical. While waiting for a reply, I did some digging and testing some plist files in the Preference folder and found the page setup files...
Hey all -
After switching from El Capitan to Sierra, I need to copy my custom paper and sheet size settings for my HP Z3200ps plotter. Both systems are on separate drives and I need to bring the sheet size and different paper settings into Sierra. There are so many places to look in the Library...
One more thing - I am now using 2 startup drives. One for El Cap, one for Sierra. Once I'm totally comfortable with Sierra, I'll stay as that as my main OS. I have 4 drives total, one in each bay. How can I save to any of the drives without having a permissions conflict? Should I just make...
It’s just something I was curious about. My iMessage isn’t working on El Capitan but does on Sierra. Syncing iCloud to all devices was a major PIA on El Cap but synced right up on Sierra.
It was more of a “why” than an “if”.
I probably know the answer to this already but is there a way to use the quick user switch from a user on El Capitan and quick switch to a user on SIerra. My money is on no but that'd be pretty neat if it worked.
