i've been using imovie hd for years (and have continued using it even though the new imovie has been out for awhile) and i love it.
i planned to continue using it but my new camcorder won't import into imovie hd.
every year i go through all my videos from the year, bring clips together and...
oh, yes, the videos are annual photo/videos of my family that i make so totally my own. i back up the videos to an external drive (they're too big to keep on my internal drive anyway) but i was just hoping to have something like the archive function so that all the videos, photos and idvd theme...
i posted this thread a year ago and this week i made a different dvd and i'm getting the same error message on a new imac.
any new thoughts on this problem? i really want to be able to archive this dvd.
thanks. i tried using pacifist with the 10.5.8 update, and also with my leopard disc and my original install discs. it's still crashing as soon as it opens.
so strange...is there a reason that a whole new install also wouldn't work? i just want to start from scratch...i don't even need my...
removing the application support files didn't work, sadly.
is there no way to uninstall and then reinstall on my own? or does it just make sense to buy pacifist?

i've been dealing with this problem for weeks and i can't figure anything out. my address book was working fine for years. then i got the verizon iphone and tried to make smart groups so i could use them on the iphone. once i started doing that, the program got really buggy and cranky...

i just made a video in idvd and burned it to a disc. after that i tried to archive it but i keep getting this error: "alert: there was an error while saving the project."
no files have been moved so that shouldn't be a problem (i burned the dvd right before trying to archive it and...
great...i'll try that! when i partition it, can i make the entire thing one part? because it's not like i really need it partitioned, right?!

just out of curiosity, why doesn't it work to just reformat as mac OS extended (journaled)?
it seems to have the current format as NTFS. then in the drop-down menu, there's a choice of MS-DOS (FAT), Mac OS Extended (Journaled), Mac OS Extended, Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled), Mac OS Extended (Case-Sensitive).
