I have a 1 ghz G4 Titanium Powerbook which has 10.4.8 on it.
I decided to go retro yesterday and play some Mac OS 9 games.
I was surprised that the Titanium wouldn't boot Mac OS 9.1 either from a
CD or after I installed Mac OS 9.1 on it via Target Disk Mode from a Sawtooth *which* will...
That's not the problem. I'd heard of that problem too, and I've already
set them to never go to sleep, don't spin down drives, don't turn display
off, etc.
The problem happens when I'm actively using the computer, in mid-keystroke so to speak!

I have several Beige G3 towers I've run 10.2 on for a while. However, it seems like the latest updates to 10.2.8.whatever have seriously compromised the stability of these machines. They periodically lose video, or freeze up.
Is this a known problem? Any ideas?

Come on Guys, Software is't the only thing that makes a difference. The hardware, and especially the CPU is important too! The limited stack space on the Intel CPUs
is the cause of half the bugs and security flaws on Windows machines. The Motorola architecture has *always* been superior...
