Did the upgrade last night. Pretty easy overall, though I have to admit that I was a little nervous. My wife would have killed me if anything happened to her "baby".
So now I have the 120gb Intel 510 and the the 2tb 7200rpm Seagate installed in the machine. I used supeduper to clone the new HHD...
I know this is a little off your topic... But you may want to check out the Seagate momentus xt. It is a 500gb hybrid drive which means that it has a small 4gb solid state portion which makes it much faster then your typical drive. It's also a 7200 rpm drive with 32mb cache.
I paid $99 for mine...
I like fresh installs but that's probably a holdover from my windows days. Just back everything up on an external drive and start over. You can then do all your software updates and reload your documents and anything else you might need. It'll be good as new. Good luck, Dave.
