Thanks for your tipp, but this doesn't solve the problem :-(. IMO it is a problem that I use an ADC-TFT but not from Apple or they change always the settings for boot, so that it works with ethery new connected monitor. A good idea but it schould be exists a possibility to disable it. SW

Since installation of 10.4 the boot screen resolution will be always changed to a low value (IMO 800x600), the normal value for my TFT is 1280x1024. It depends always from last running system: if the last was 10.3.x or 9.2.2 then the boot screen (the Boot Volume Selection screen and grey apple...
