The light does not pulsate. I close it... wait for a minute or so... and it still doesn't go into sleep mode automatically.

How can I get my MacBook Pro to go into sleep mode when I close it? Right now when I open it back up it's on the exact screen that it was when I closed it, instead of taking a second to power back up and ask for my password (which it used to do).

For some reason, Quicktime is not letting me watch .AVI videos taken from my Canon Powershot digital camera once downloaded onto my computer. It has worked in the past, but just recently stopped. When I click to open a video, Quicktime opens but then quits and an 'Unexpectedly Quit' error...
