    BootCamp run Windows on Mac

I read a review yesterday, someone had installed Bootcamp on a MBP. Apparently he had problems with the trackpad mouse, no support for the backlit keyboard and the isight didn't work either, didn't mention key mapping though. Not sure how much of what he is claiming is true or not.

    Online Apple store question

I was browsing the online Apple store before and noticed that the Intel Imac and MacBook Pro had changed places, so in the image line up on the shop front it was Mini, Macbook pro and then Imac. Also the same had happened with the Power PC range, the PowerBook was before the iBook. Does this...

    BootCamp run Windows on Mac

I've just been thinking about this a bit more, if OS X falls on it's face i.e. major developers, Adobe and such, WERE to stop producing Mac compatible versions of their software, wouldn't that basically be an end to OS X?, I mean who's going to buy an 'expensive' Mac running an OS (OS X)...

    BootCamp run Windows on Mac

This is also what I was thinking about. Why develop software for multiple OS (Windows and OS X) when you can simply stick in a little Mac OS X paragraph in the back of your manual saying 'boot into Windows now'. Especially if we see some sort of fast user switching that will simultaneously...

    New Stuff on 28th

For now. You can guarantee once the ibook is switched to intel the price will be stacked up, my guess is £899 (hopefully not with the same integrated graphics the new mini has).

    New Stuff on 28th

Isn't that top end mini now getting around the same price the Emac was but without the screen and peripherals? I know it's supposed to be 4 times faster and have some flash new software but, eh I don't know. It would be nice if they introduced some 'low end' screen at around £250-300 to go...

    17" vs. 20" iMac (purchasing)

My recommendation is to get whichever you can afford ! :) There's not that much difference in the specs as far as I can see other the slightly faster processor speed in the 20" which I doubt you'd even notice and larger hard drive. The only major difference is the screen size.

    3pg converter

Ar, I don't have that. Do you know of anything else? (freeware/ shareware if poss) I only need to do maybe 5-10 files, so was hoping not to pay for something I'll really only use once or twice. If not I'll just upgrade anyway as it's so cheap.

    3pg converter

    Camino vs. Firefox vs. Safari

I use Safari over other browsers for no major reason. I like the way it looks more, as mikuro said it clashes less with all my other apps (looks wise). Other browsers like Firefox always seem a bit 'busy' to me as well and I don't use IE for the obvious reasons.

    Memory Upgrade for G5

I think you mean 1gb not mb ! :D Anyway, they're both right. It depends on how many free slots you have left in your machine. If you only have one slot left you could get a stick of 512 to bring what you already have up to 1gig, if you have two spare you could get 2 sticks of 256mb, etc etc...

    eye floaties

I get those little worm shaped ones sometimes and have had since a kid. I don't think it's anything major though because I'm now 21 and have 20/20 vision in both eyes. As everyone else has said already though if it's bothering you a lot you should go see a doctor.

    What Changed You???

I needed a new computer at the time and decided to try a Mac for no real reason other than it being something different. Got my starter level Emac (the minis weren't out then) loved it and after a year upgraded to my Imac.

Linksys WRT54G Slow Ethernet - Wireless possibly too

I had this problem too, with the same router. Try going into the wireless security settings select the WEP option type in a passphrase in the box then hit generate use one of the codes provided. Also make sure the wireless network mode is set to mixed.

    Wireless Networking (mac to pc)

Nevermind I solved it myself while waiting. I'll post the answer incase anyone else ever has the same problem. I had to change from WPA to WEP and use the hexidecimal codes instead of a regular password.

    Wireless Networking (mac to pc)

EDIT: Updated the driver for the wireless hardware on the laptop (which I now know is an intel pro 2200BG) which gave it support for the WPA Personal TKIP security setting I wanted. Now, Everything is working great still on my mac, when I got into the router settings both my mac and the laptop...
