Open the folder in question in list view, then go to view in the menu bar and choose "Show view options", or Command-j and check the box marked"Always open in list view".
Now every time you double click on that folder it will open in list view.
Hold down the "C" key if you want to boot from install disk. Holding the option key only give you choices of operating systems already installed on either your main or external firewire drive.
In iTunes go to preferences, click on the Advanced tab, and then below click general. Then uncheck the check box that says "Copy songs to iTunes music folder when adding to library.
Oops need to back up! First go to the menu bar under the window menu choose show tools and then choose the line tool, draw your line under the row of cells and then choose the width etc. in the styles palatte. Sorry for the confusion.
Installed Leopard last night, chose the "upgrade" option despite everything I've read. So far everything is working flawlessly, and it seems much faster on my late 2006 iMac w/ 2 gigs of ram. I love it!
I think that printing behavior is a Safari problem that many, if not all users have experienced. You have to make the text larger with the text size arrows to make it print larger. I have an Epson 777 printer and it also prints tiny text unless I increase the size.
The little pull-down menus in appliations that let you hoose a number of choices doesn't work as of Panther upgrade.
I'm running a 500 mhz. Indigo, CDRW iMac
with 256 mb ram. If that makes any difference
