    Cheryl, yes I do have a copy in my Home/library folder. I've done everything that it says to do, the sound file just won't appear as a choice. It is a .aiff file.

    apple's help isn't too helpful when it comes to installing different sound effects or recorded messages in their mail program. I followed the instructions which indicate to pick your sound and use the add/remove option under the general tab. It don't work folks... I want it to, but it doesn't...
