Hmm well im confused but i guess the ripple effect is just another "eye candy" effect to show off the mac os. However really the ripple effect isn't that useful in my eyes, it probly slows the whole dashboard producitvity down a nitch.

Obvsiouly my eMac won't get the ripple effect, however what if you don't have the recquired video card and the ripple effect is then proccessed by the cpu/video... Dunno if it can do that but can it ???

Dam, so there not including the Blue/grey background of spotlight and the apple logo at all in Tiger ? Since they have already made it why didnt they (if they havent) include it anyway.. I wouldn't find it distracting at all, i think the panther styled menu bar is way too bland and boring even...

It doesn't really look that different to Panther's though fryke, but is the one that was in all of the screenshots awhile ago and at the Macworld 05 - is that still in Tiger or is it this more bland/panther aqua styled menu bar. Maybe Apple has given user's two choices.... doubt it.

Dunno doubt it may come as an extra ?? However what happened to the Tiger Styled menu bar !! How come its back to a more aqua panther style?? I really wanted the new menu bar without resorting to shapeshifter etc. Anyone shed some light ??

Well the only reason im interested in upgrading to Tiger is for just a general performance increase of my eMac, Dashboard, Spotlight (might be handy one day), and the menu bar. I used Konf once i didnt really like it that much it seemed to eat up alot of the resources, but im really looking...

I really am going to jynx myself but yeah, the only times my mx 2004 apps wont launch is when i click on them and then force quit them cause i would've launched them by accident, and basically the only way to make them launch is to restart. The sad part for me was i just quickly glanced at it and i thought it was real. Rather sad. Its pretty mad however some of them are just slightly off but the rest of are pretty dam awesome. Good idea i wonder who came up with it....

Actually i was confused about this too, but then i came to a solution of just getting the Family Pack when tiger comes out. In AUD its actually cheaper than buying two seperate mac osx licenses. My sister and I are the only ones in the family who has a mac so i guess it works for us.
