    Fat32 and NFTS Portables not showing up

    I have an apple where these portables will not show up on the machine when connected via USB. They show up on my other Tiger machines, like my eMac and iMac but not this one. Any ideas why?

    I have a G4 with a 20gb hard drive. i added a second one (120GB). I have two questions I can not find answers for. Is it possible to move the user folders to the new drive for space purposes? How do i share my second drive with Windows users? It will not appear in the Network Neighborhood...

    G4 400mhx into a server

    I would like to use my G4 400mhz machine as a file server for predominately Windows machines. I will be adding a second drive. What setup do you recommend for the best network? Should the data drive be formatted in FAT32 or use Samba? Which will be faster? What's the advantage of each?
