If I connect to server using: nfs://ip_address/xx/yy I get: An error has occured (error -5000) Any clues?

Hi, I have a FBSD Server with NFS file system sharing enabled. How do I mount this file system on my OSX Jaguar? Via the Finder it doesn't work. (nfs://.....) Thanks for any reply Mike

I can install the printer but what comes out is garbage. Tried to install th HP drivers but this software refused to install. What's up? Not possible to print to a Jetdirect network attached HPLJ? I use OSX 10.1.5 Thanks for any enlightenment. Mike

How is that done? I've tried nfs://x.x.x.x/exported_system in the finder but the response is that there are no file systems available. From other linux boxes it works fine. Thanks for any reply

No problem mounting Linux RH 7.2 exported filesystems from within the Finder using 'Go' as described above. Cheers.

Can anyone tell me the correct syntax to mount a Unix exported file system, just like you use SMB:/Network;Server/Share on Windows servers? Something like perhaps NFS:/Servername;Exported filesystem? I've tried some combination.... Greatly appreciated. Cheers, Mike

Hi there, Perhaps you could be of assistence to me in compiling the code. I've downloaded the developer stuff from apple, installed it, fine. I've added the flag parameters and i've changed the CC variable according your specs to /usr/bin/cc. When typing ./Makefile it starts executing but...

Tried to compile it on OSX. Didn'twork, permission denied. Then tried Linux 7.2, didn't work either, no GCC found. any ideas?
