    Importing keychain

My friend just bought a new Mac and needs help. I don't know the answer and a search didn't find it so I'm posting his problem here: "According to the manual it is a simple job to migrate all my Apps, Folders etc from the old one (iMac G4) to my new one (Imac Intel Duo core thingy) via...

    right clicking on a mac!

I have a two-button mouse with scroll-wheel on each of my Macs. As far as I can tell, any standard USB PC mouse will work. I've also got a "mighty mouse". The scroll-ball action is very smooth (until you get biscuit crumbs inside!)

Problem with MSN - or is it just me?

I don't advocate that. In my experience you end up with several installers, none of which is up to date!

    Microphone

Tower case Macs don't have a microphone. I use "Audiocorder" with a very cheap external (Chinese manufactured) desk mike, connected via an iMic USB adapter.

Programs crash if alert window left open too long...

In view of the above, you might as well try Repair Permissions. It won't do any harm. That G4 will happily run Tiger so you might as well upgrade, rather than buying Panther.

    Custom email stationery in mail?

Yeah, I think they keep sending them to me. But my email reader doesn't support HTML so all I see is a blank screen and an HTML attachment icon that I drag to the trash. Great marketing idea! Hey, but don't let me stop you. That way I don't have to read most of the stupid spam that...

    iphoto pictures have disappeared

Look in your home folder (little house icon at the left of your Finder window) for a folder named "iPhoto Library". If it's there and contains the following files then iPhoto should find your images OK: iPhoto.db Dir.data AlbumData.xml Thumb32.data ThumbJPG.data Albums (folder) Thumb64.data...

There's no need to back up the operating system. Just backup the irreplaceable files. (You still forgot to mention your Operating system version.)

    Cannot Unmount Disk Images

When you select the disc image and press cmd E, what do you see? Failure to "eject" is normally a sign that something in the disc image is still in use.
