Custom email stationery in mail?

I've recently come across to macs from PCs. Outlook Express had facility for me to create all many of stationery simply by coding it in html and dropping it into the "source" panel of an email document.

I cannot find any way to do this in Mail. However, I have heard that you can do so. Can somebody help me with this?

I'm running a G5 iMac with pentiums and OS X.

Hoping you can save me from having to do this sort of stuff on the old PC.
 
Why not simply use a HTML-editor as your E-Mail editor? You can then open the page in Safari and choose "send content of this page as e-mail" (dunno how that's called in the English version of Safari, something like it should be in the "File" menu).

Just for reference: It's _bad_ to use HTML E-Mails. It's part of the worldwide waste of bandwidth. It doesn't make the content of your E-Mails any better. So I personally suggest to write _plain text_ E-Mail messages. If you _must_ use bold and italics or even different font sizes, RTF E-Mail messages are still better than HTML.

the emails I am referring to are not just tricked up font sizes, boldness etc.. I'm a web designer and create e-zines for a great deal of my clients who send them out on a monthly basis as part of web-based marketing programs. They just drop whatever text they want in them and the job is done. The beauty for them is that they don't need to know how to code so they can put them together as easily as any regular email.

I just need to know how to do this in Mail, as it would help me in the process of promoting this side of my business to my customers.

Yeah, I think they keep sending them to me. But my email reader doesn't support HTML so all I see is a blank screen and an HTML attachment icon that I drag to the trash. Great marketing idea! :rolleyes:

Hey, but don't let me stop you. That way I don't have to read most of the stupid spam that comes my way. :)
 
I use Mail 4.2 under Snow Leopard. It has a Save as Stationery item on the File menu. Here's a tip from Apple on how to use it.
