    hi... just for nostalgia sake, i remember when my father (I was about 8 and had no money) paid about $400AU (back then about $320US) for a whopping 4mb of RAM - but you had to buy it in pairs :-) ... now we're picking up 256MB for about $25US. Big difference. Andrew

    Real's strength is that their server software encodes real, qt and windows media player.... To get QT files small, media cleaner is the only real way - that or sorenson pro... as far as real media... it has never been nice on a mac - marginally better ona pc... and qt understands how to...

    let me revise that... some avi files are playable by quicktime... in fact most are. just like quicktime can have diferent encodings of .mov files (eg sorenson, cinepak) so can avi's - so if your encoding of your avi is non-standard windows encoding, then you will need to find a special player...

    i see your point... all in all i'm happy with mozilla as a browser - generally it's stable & it works... and most of our JS is mozilla compatable... writing nice cross platform js is what I do - and yes, I do use dreamweaver to write most of my js - but that's only because i've become lazy...

    didn't read the readme doesn't compile in os x. there is another program called efax which compiles nicely, just can't open the /dev/modem thingy so... if anyone has any bright ideas.. :) Andrew
