I cannot drag the image around in the box. I can only create white spaces, which soon disappear. As you can see, I am no echnical wizard, but this process should be easier. I only want to scan some photos to iPHOTO after all. Many thanks, saheiblim@gmail.com

Many thanks for your message. Yes, I am advised to select which part of the image I wish to scan, but I cannot discover how to do that. Just clicking on the image does not select it. Do you know how to do it? saheiblim@gmail.com

Many thanks for your reply. I am using mac OS X 10.5.8. When I press the scan button, Image Capture opens, and I can see the image to scan. Where would you suggest that I tell it to save the image? Since iPHOTO also opens automatically, I thought that that meant it would save the image there...
