Love the idea of an Apple notebook smaller than the 12" PB. I previously owned a Sony VAIO which was extremely portable and had a 19 hour battery. The only problems were the slow (Crusoe) processor and Windows ME. If it had had a G4 (or even a G3) and OS X it would have been perfect. Kap

I don't see why not (assuming you meant single processor 2 and 2.5 GHz iMacs). A four core processor PowerMac announcement is something that I'd expect to see in a WWDC, while a processor bump + DVD drive upgrade for the iMacs would be a (welcome) non-event. Now a 23" iMac on the other hand...

Needed this update, since the iMacs still come with the old Superdrives. Hopefully we'll see them with the rumoured 2 button mouse as well (and a 23" version :) ). Kap

Depends how you look at it. You can record directly from the iSight, via iMovie. You can record your iChat AV window using Snapz Pro X. Kap

No such thing for the shuffle. You can only sync music from one computer, but it won't be reformatted if you plug it into other computers (i.e. if you're using it as a USB drive to transfer files between computers), unless you try and sync music with the other computer. Kap

One way around this would be to store one or more Audible books on the shuffle - lots more listening time per megabyte (as long as you don't want to fast forward, it's all good). :) Don't really know how long the battery lasts, because it's never run out on me. Significantly longer than your...

You can put songs onto the shuffle manually. The battery life is excellent. Wonderful gadget. Kap P.S. However, if you're planning to listen to a lot of Audible books, you're better off getting an iPod mini - fast forwarding through Audible books on a shuffle is a pain.
