Hi, I had this error once too. My solution was to boot into OS9, used the OHCI firewirecard under OS9. Than restart into OSX again and from that moment on my noname, but OHCI compatible firewirecard was also working under OSX. Wired, but it works, at least for me. Cheers beefpile

Yes, it must be the MMC thing. I also use 10.1.2. But I thought that my burner isn't too old. That's bad. So I still need OS9 on my machine, for CD burning and my music software. beefpile

Does anyone have an old Teac 55S SCSI burner and got it to work. Even with the elgato SCSIHelper, Toast 5.1 doesn't recognize the burner. ASP "sees" the burner. beefpile

No, it is not possible to flash the rom with the mac one. T he rom has a different size so the mac rom file won't fit in the pc rom. beefpile

yes, it will work without any problems when you are using only OS X and 9. If you boot from an older system like OS 8.5, than you can't select your OSX/9 drive for startup disk. In other words, the startup disk control panel from OS8.6 or lower doesn't work with the OS X/9 systems on one...

Hi, that only half true. VPC only recognise the voodoo1 card. Every othe 3D card isn't supported. But I don't know if the voodoo1 is still supported in VPC4. beefpile

It looks like a conflict with some System Extenitions. Do classic boots up if you disable the OS9 Extentions? If so you have to find out which one gives you the trouble. beefpile

On OSX use as you mentioned Dixv vor X (divx.jamby.net). The last Version has an installer. start it and you should be able to see DivX movies. If not, read the readme and put the files in the right place by yourself. If the sound is chopy, convert to qt with the avi2mov tool (also in the divX...

Hi, does anyone know how ti read and write Vietnamese in OSX. I don't mean unicode. On Windows and Mac (up to OS9) you can use it via an extention with special fonts. This doesn't work on OSX. I recieve a lot letters in Vietnamese and it isn't nice it switch back to OS9 just for reading...
