The only reason i would think it isn't this is because torrents have been flying around for every latest MacOS and Apple has never done anything. This, and the fact that in 2002 Apple sued someone a few weeks prior to the macworld conference for releasing detailed drawings of some new hardware.

Convert does that oddity only happen when the page hasn't yet finished loading? That's when i used to notice that (before i switched to the superior Camino browser that is ;))

Of course Apple knows who they're suing; they just didnt want to say who publicly...now doesn't that make a little more sense?

Maybe the login time just seems slower because boot time has decreased, hence you are staring at the login screen longer than at the boot up screen, so it only feels longer, even though the login screen is up the same amount of time as it is on a Panther machine.
