OK, OK, OK.... So How much RAM can I install in the machine, and still be able to use. For example, if I put in a 512 strip will I be able to use all 544 MB? or will X only see 288 MB? I know I can physically put in a 512 MB strip of ram, but will it work?:rolleyes: :D

you can start up in single-user mode or verbose mode by hitting apple-s or apple-v respectively. Not sure if this is what you want though... more info here

right now I have a cable modem hooked strait to my G4 Powermac, I am getting an original iBook soon, and want wireless for it. so... I am going to be getting an airport card for the ibook, and I think I would rather get a wireless router, than another card for the G4. I would like a router...

put in the system restore disk, and erase everything and reinstall... when it is all finished, shutdown instead of restarting, and it will come up as if it where a brand new mac.

what version of X are you running? There was an issue with an older version of X, updating might take care of it... if not, try changing your modem to internal 56K (V.34 only) on the modem tab of the network preference paine...

have you tried restarting? if so what else have you tried?

I am not sure this will work, but it just may, in iTunes, if you hold down the option key, and click on advanced there will be an option for convert, thay may convert them to mp3's...

snowball is right, as I type, I am on the exact same powerbook that you have, I had to partition the HD to a 8GB partition to get it to work... Took me a little bit to figure that one out... also 10.2 is not painfully slow on this powerbook, infact, it runs better now with 10.2 then it ever did...
